Lucille S. Hubbell , 101, of Oblong, IL passed away on Friday December 22, 2017 at the Magnolia Center at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL
Celebration of Lucille’s life will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday December 27, 2017 at Pulliam Funeral Home Oblong, IL. Visitation will be Noon to 1:00pm Wednesday December 27, 2017 at the funeral home.
The family request that in lieu of flowers an expression of sympathy may take the form of a contribution to the Crawford County Humane Society with envelopes available at or may be mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home P.O. Box 121 Oblong, IL 62449
Lucille was born in Crawford County, IL on December 20, 1916 to Samuel Stephenson and Maggie (Sroufe) Stephenson. In June of 1942 she married Ernest Hubbell who preceded her in death on 1989.
She had worked as a legal secretary for firms in Indianapolis, IN and Tampa, Fl over a 50 year period. She was a member of the United Methodist church.
Lucille is survived by a son Samuel M. Hubbell, Oblong, IL and a step-daughter Jannifer Scott and husband Ronald Scott. She is also survived by a great niece Myrlene Allison.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three sisters Freda Ping, Letha Stephenson and Crystal Phillips; a brother Myrl Stephenson; and a nephew Gerald Stephenson.
